Wonderful video! Should be seen by as many people as possible and go viral. We will be doing a Writing for Change conference this year, and perhaps John can speak at it. Please visit http://www.sfwriters.org and write or call me at 415-673-0939, if you want to talk.
Thank you, this opened my heart and inspired my day!
I facilitate workshops for business people where gain the skill and the will to step up, take responsibility, and make a positive difference. My specialty is helping people achieve what seems impossible, but is merely difficult. We all fear failure, and so we often imagine something is impossible just because we don’t personally know how to achieve it. But none of us is as smart as all of us. Each person knows only a small % of everything, but through listening to each other generously, inspiring each other to dare to dream, and to keep those dreams alive, and then collaborating to achieve together what no one person could achieve alone, I’ve found that the impossible becomes possible, then probably, and eventually inevitable.
I have always tried volunteering with organized groups and never enjoyed the formal rules and regulations. Many years ago, I started to just do my own thing – decide what needs to be done and do it. I have raised over $30,000 for dog charities in the Twin Cities of Minnesota by putting on dog lover’s weekends and I even wrote and published a book about being of service. I think it makes a person much more happy when they lead a life of connectedness and compassion.
Very Inspiring! I know one person who has devoted her life to making a difference in the lives of many of the mentally ill. Her newsletter is outstanding. Her name is Yolanda H. Ortega Chair – NAMI Mental Health Task Force in San Antonio Texas http://www.ProsumersInternational.org
Jeff Clements, a lawyer in Massachusetts, is stepping up to get the Supreme Court ruling overturned that judged that corporations are people. He is devoting his time and energy to get a Constitutional Amendment signed in all fifty states.
